Jews who speak out: Auftreten Leonard COHEN in Berlin, Aufruf zur Demo

Dear All/ Ihr Lieben

English follows

Liebe Freundinnen,

and here is my mail to Rebert Kory, Leonard Cohens manager, that explains why we demonstrate (2.7.2009, 18:30)

Dear Robert,
We have read in Haaretz, that Leonard Cohen will also be performing in Ramallah. This indeed gives us hope, as it would probably not have come about without the pressure so many people.
On the other hand, Cohen is not going to boycott Isra-l and so take part in the non-violent action needed against the Apartheid state. (Desmond Tutu said that the situation in Isra-l is worse then what non-whites suffered in South Africa).
Leonard Cohens name can still stand near the one of Ken Loach for example, but he decided for a concert in Isra-l.
For this reason we have decided to carry out our protest against this decision of Leonard Cohen, when he comes to Berlin. The attempt to create an impression of reciprocity is something we cannot accept: Cohen is supporting the occupation.

Today I met a German who was grieving for Michael Jackson. Well, I myself was never one of his fans, but I tried to understand this man. He told me, that Jackson performed in 1988, a year before the fall of the Berlin Wall, near the Reichstag. That means that he performed not only for the West Germans but also for the East Berliner - because that was the nearest one could get to East Berlin at the time. Well, for me that was a signal: Leonard Cohen should perform - outloud - near Gaza. He should play for the prisoners there, to let them know, that not all Jews should be associated with bombing noises - it can be different! Instead he will perform in Ramllah, (if at all, as an Israeli I experienced too many promises already...many Israelis are about to come to the Berlin concert, after Cohen canceled his concert there last year. They also know why.)
But can the Palestinians move freely out of the occupied territories?
Leonard Cohen will also be performing under the sponsorship of the Discount Bank, which, we have heard, has very good reasons to support the occupation: We refer you to the following Website:
Reading about the cooperation with Discount Bank, the words of his song came to my mind:

Everybody knows...

"Everybody knows you've been discreet
But there were so many people you just had to meet
Without your clothes
And everybody knows"

Though everybody knows the good guys lost, we can not take it without a protest. I do not expect Madonna, who baby shops in Africa, to boycott Isra-l, but I still expect it from Leonard Cohen, and wish he would change his mind. It is never too late to carry out a just action!
Best regards

Wir brauchen noch Unterstützer für unsere Demo!

Schöne Grüße

Cynthia McKinney & Human Rights Activists Leave Cyprus For Gaza

Cynthia McKinney & Human Rights Activists Leave Cyprus For Gaza:

Twenty-one human rights and solidarity workers representing eleven different countries were aboard including Nobel laureate Mairead Maguire and former U.S. Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney.

"International Movement to Open Rafah Border"

I realize many of you will have already received this mail, but please, it is important that we all support and work together. The International movement to Open Rafah Border is an amalgamation of numerous NGO's /Activists / Journalists hence it is essential we all support FREE GAZA and their ''SPIRIT OF HUMANITY'' during their time of need. Also, during the last couple of days are group at Rafah Border has welcomed a few more to the team of activists currently camping to stop the collective illegal punishment imposed on the people of Gaza who have done nothing to deserve what is happening to them by Isra-l.

[23 miles off the coast of Gaza, 15:30pm] -

Today Israeli Occupation Forces attacked and boarded the Free Gaza Movement boat, the SPIRIT OF HUMANITY, abducting 21 human rights workers from 11 countries, including Nobel laureate Mairead Maguire and former U.S. Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney (see below for a complete list of passengers). The passengers and crew are being forcibly dragged toward Isra-l.

"This is an outrageous violation of international law against us. Our boat was not in Israeli waters, and we were on a human rights mission to the Gaza Strip," said Cynthia McKinney, a former U.S. Congresswoman and presidential candidate. "President Obama just told Isra-l to let in humanitarian and reconstruction supplies, and that's exactly what we tried to do.
We're asking the international community to demand our release so we can resume our journey."

According to an International Committee of the Red Cross report released yesterday, the Palestinians living in Gaza are "trapped in despair." Thousands of Gazans whose homes were destroyed earlier during Isra-l'sDecember/January massacre are still without shelter despite pledges of almost $4.5 billion in aid, because Isra-l refuses to allow cement and other building material into the Gaza Strip. The report also notes that hospitals are struggling to meet the needs of their patients due to Isra-l's disruption of medical supplies.

"The aid we were carrying is a symbol of hope for the people of Gaza, hope that the sea route would open for them, and they would be able to transport their own materials to begin to reconstruct the schools, hospitals and thousands of homes destroyed during the onslaught of "Cast Lead". Our mission is a gesture to the people of Gaza that we stand by them and that they are not alone" said fellow passenger Mairead Maguire, winner of a Nobel Peace Prize for her work in Northern Ireland.

Just before being kidnapped by Isra-l, Huwaida Arraf, Free Gaza Movement chairperson and delegation co-coordinator on this voyage, stated that: "No one could possibly believe that our small boat constitutes any sort ofthreat to Isra-l. We carry medical and reconstruction supplies, and children's toys. Our passengers include a Nobel peace prize laureate and a former U.S. congressperson. Our boat was searched and received a securityclearance by Cypriot Port Authorities before we departed, and at no time did we ever approach Israeli waters."Arraf continued, "Isra-l's deliberate and premeditated attack on our unarmed boat is a clear violation of international law and we demand our immediate and unconditional release."

“Moi, je ne veux qu’aimer,
car j’ai si peu de temps…”
Victor Hugo

Tant de charme émouvant et de grâce lascive ;

U.S. Wholly Responsible for Nuclear Crisis on Korean Peninsula

Rodong Sinmun Holds U.S. Wholly Responsible for Nuclear Crisis on Korean Peninsula

Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA)

It was none other than the United States that spawned the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula in the light of its root cause and background against which it surfaced and from the viewpoint of the responsibility for the present situation. Rodong Sinmun Sunday observes this in a signed article.

The nuclear issue surfaced on the Korean Peninsula is due to the U.S introduction of nukes into south Korea, the article notes, and goes on:

The DPRK government has not ceased even a moment the struggle for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula against the U.S. introduction of nukes into south Korea, regarding the issue of removing the U.S. nuclear threat from the Korean Peninsula as a vital issue related to the destiny of the nation and an inevitable requirement for ensuring peace and security in Asia and the rest of the world.

However, the U.S. has reacted to the sincere efforts of the DPRK by pursuing undisguised moves for a nuclear war.

The nuclear issue on the peninsula festered after the appearance of the Bush administration.

The U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK and its nuclear war moves compelled the DPRK to have access to nuclear deterrent for self-defence and bolster it up.

The U.S. made much fuss, expressing "deep concern over north Korea's access to nuclear weapons," taking issue with the nuclear test for self-defence conducted by the DPRK to cope with its ever-increasing nuclear threat and its evermore undisguised moves for a nuclear war. It is working hard to create the impression that the DPRK has a "nuclear ambition" in a bid to label it a "nuclear criminal," keeping mum about the background against which it came to have access to nukes and its purport and seriously falsifying the essence and truth about it. But this proved futile.

The DPRK's accession to nuclear weapons is not aimed at threatening and pressurizing other countries and mounting preemptive attacks on them unlike the U.S. The DPRK's nuclear deterrent is, to all intents and purposes, of self-defensive nature and has an aim and mission to champion peace. The Korean people are highly proud and honored to defend the peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia as it has the full-fledged status of a nuclear weapons state in view of the U.S. moves for a nuclear war.

The DPRK will bolster up its nuclear deterrence for self-defence in the future, too, in order to cope with the U.S. undisguised nuclear threat and moves for a nuclear war.

The U.S. would be well advised to stop kicking up a harmful extreme confrontation racket against the DPRK, cogitating about the nature and essence of the present serious nuclear crisis and its aftermath. This would do the U.S. good.

Marguerite BERVOETS: Monument AR LA LOUVIÈRE

In Memoriam

U.S. Urged to Roll Back Its Hostile Policy towards DPRK

U.S. Urged to Roll Back Its Hostile Policy towards DPRK as Early as Possible

Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA)

The U.S. keeps frantically kicking up rackets of "sanctions" and "pressure" against the DPRK, terming its launch of a satellite for peaceful purposes and nuclear activities for self-defence as a "violation" and "threat to peace." This has pushed the situation in the Korean Peninsula to such a pass that a war may break out any moment.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday observes this in a signed article.
It goes on:

This is a clear revelation of the U.S. anachronistic and criminal hostile policy towards the DPRK as it is obstructing the reconciliation, unity and reunification of the Korean nation and seeks to ignite a war of aggression against it.

The U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK is the one of national split and anti-reunification confrontation as it is designed to keep Korea divided into two and stoke mistrust and confrontation between the north and the south.

The U.S. forces landed in south Korea under the pretext of "disarming" the defeated Japanese army, prompted by the criminal scenario to turn south Korea into its colony and strategic stronghold and, on this basis, to put under its control Northeast Asia including the whole of Korea.

It is the sinister intention of the U.S. to invade the DPRK, keeping south Korea under its domination for an indefinite period and using it as its advanced base. The U.S. remains unchanged in its policy towards the DPRK aimed at antagonizing it and seizing it by force of arms.
The U.S. ever-more undisguised scenario to invade the DPRK found a vivid manifestation in the facts that it is escalating its rackets of international "sanctions" and "pressure" upon the DPRK, malignantly slandering its launch of a satellite and nuclear activities for self-defence and made a promise to provide "a nuclear umbrella" to the south Korean authorities in "contingency" on the Korean Peninsula, hinting at its start of a nuclear war.

It has become more apparent than ever before that lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula would be unthinkable without putting an end to the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK and its moves to isolate and suffocate the latter.

The U.S. had better roll back as early as possible its hostile policy towards the DPRK, the leftover of the outdated era of confrontation, which runs counter to the trend of the times towards peace and reunification, concludes the article.

In ihrem Blog Trotz alledem!

Fear rules
By Paul Craig Roberts The power of irrational fear in the U.S. is extraordinary. It ranks up there with the Isra-l Lobby, the military/security complex, and the financial gangsters. Indeed, fear might be the most powerful force in America.

Actions, Mr. President, not words
By Eric S. Margolis
In a welcome change, President Barack Obama’s masterfully written, artfully delivered recent speech in Cairo was filled with just what the Muslim world had been waiting to hear: an intelligent, respectful address calling for normalized relations with the Muslim world, including former ‘bêtes noires’ Iran and Syria, cooperation, and advancement of democracy and human rights. Very nice, to a point. But the Muslim world was not as taken by Obama’s silver-tongued oratory as many Americans. The general response was, ‘actions speak louder than words. Show us some positive actions.’

Korean Women Vow to Take Revenge upon American Murderers

Korean Women Vow to Take Revenge upon American Murderers

Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA)

A revenge-vowing meeting of women's union members took place outside the Central House of Class Education on June 24 to denounce the murderous U.S. imperialists, the sworn enemy of the Korean people, on the occasion of "June 25, the day of struggle against U.S. imperialism."
Ro Song Sil, chairwoman of the C.C., the Democratic Women's Union of Korea, made a report at the meeting which was followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers pointed out that the Korean war, which broke out on June 25, 1950, was an aggression war provoked by the U.S. imperialists under the plan to stifle the DPRK in its cradle and an unprecedented war of massacre aimed at exterminating the Korean nation.
Saying that the U.S. imperialists ran wild but could not reduce the Korean people to submission, they recalled that many women of the DPRK turned out in the sacred war against the aggressors and mercilessly punished them, thus contributing to winning a brilliant victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
They noted that though more than half a century has passed since the U.S. imperialists signed the armistice agreement, the U.S. is getting evermore pronounced in the hostile policy towards the DPRK and the moves for igniting another war to stifle it.
They underlined the need to thoroughly establish the trait of attaching importance to the military affairs in the whole society, give full play to the beautiful trait of assisting the army and bring up and train their children to be heroes ready to become human bullets and bombs like Ri Su Bok and Kim Kwang Chol.

U.S. Urged to Draw Lesson from Its Defeat in Korean War

U.S. Urged to Draw Lesson from Its Defeat in Korean War

Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA)

The armed provocations perpetrated by the U.S. imperialists in areas along the 38th parallel were premeditated military actions to ignite an all-out war in the light of their scale, persistency and repetition, etc. and a prelude to the Korean war. The U.S. imperialists were the arch criminals who masterminded these provocations and with no rhetoric can they cover up the criminal nature of those actions.
Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a signed article.
It cites facts to prove that the U.S. imperialists which had been greedy for the Korean Peninsula since long time ago occupied south Korea after the second World War, established a system of "military rule" and worked hard to provoke a war in a bid to dominate the whole of Korea.
The article goes on:
The aim sought by the U.S. imperialists in perpetrating ceaseless armed provocations against the northern half of Korea in areas along the 38th parallel was to help the south Korean puppet army build actual combat capability so that it might be used as bullet-shields for them during the war of aggression against the north, weaken the defence by the Korean security forces stationed there and spy on the military forces of the north and their deployment. Through these acts they also sought the aim to aggravate the situation in an effort to create conditions favorable for launching a war and go over to an all-out war when their ceaseless armed provocations prove successful.
The U.S. imperialists started the Korean war while going busy with armed provocations against the DPRK at that time but drank a bitter cup of defeat. Instead of drawing a lesson from it, they are getting frantic with the moves to provoke the second Korean war, obsessed with their ambition for aggression of Korea, the article notes, and warns:

If the U.S. imperialists misjudge the strength and will of the DPRK's army and people and ignite a new war at any cost, they will suffer a more disgraceful defeat than what they did during the Korean war in the 1950s.

U.S. Imperialists, Provoker of Korean War

U.S. Imperialists, Provoker of Korean War
Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA)
The Korean people still bear a deep grudge against the crimes of the U.S. imperialists, the provoker and criminal of the Korean war (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953) though more than 50 years have passed since the war.
The U.S. imperialists who decided to take the DPRK as the first target of attack for realizing the wild dream of world domination after their illegal occupation of south Korea worked out a plan for the Korean war and made all preparations for it.
They desperately armed the south Korean puppet army with modern war means and raised its war capabilities to use it as the shock force for the war of aggression against the DPRK.
According to an official document released by the U.S. Congress, they handed over more than 145,000 rifles, some 2,000 machine guns and submachine guns, over 2,000 pieces of various calibers, 4,900-odd vehicles, 79 warships and others to the south Korean puppet army in 1949 alone.
The number of the south Korean puppet troops who were armed with such war equipment and means and trained in the American way reached more than 100,000 as of September 1949.
The U.S. imperialists deployed most of the south Korean puppet army on the front along the 38th parallel and incessantly perpetrated armed provocations against the DPRK.
They built or expanded airfields, harbors, roads and others in south Korea in an extensive way. At the same time, they worked out a prearranged plan to conceal the armed aggression after the outbreak of the Korean war in an attempt to shift the responsibility for the war provocation on the DPRK.
As seen above, the Korean war was a war of aggression started by the U.S. imperialists with full preparation.
The U.S. magazine Life disclosed the fact that it was the first since the beginning of history that the Korean war had been fully prepared before its start.
The historical facts evidently show that the U.S. imperialists are the provoker of the Korean war and the heinous enemy who imposed dreadful holocaust upon the Korean people.
Nevertheless, they, who resorted to every conceivable trick to shift the responsibility for the outbreak of the Korean war to the DPRK while distorting the history, are running amuck to provoke another Korean war today.

The United Nations Security Council, at the instigation of the U.S., adopted a "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK on June 12, taking issue with its second nuclear test.
This is another foul product of the U.S.-led international oppression to disarm the DPRK and to suffocate it economically for forcing the Korean people to give up their idea and system.
If the U.S. imperialists start another war, ignorant of the ignominious defeat they had sustained in the past Korean war, the army and people of Korea will determinedly answer "sanctions" with retaliation and "confrontation" with all-out confrontation, the counter-measure based on the Songun idea, wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all and achieve the cause of national reunification without fail.

Destabilization 2.0

Destabilization 2.0
Soros, the CIA, Mossad and the new media destabilization of Iran
By James Corbett
June 24, 2009 "The Corbett Report"
It's the 2009 presidential election in Iran and opposition leader Mir-Houssein Mousavi declares victory hours before the polls close, insuring that any result to the contrary will be called into question. Western media goes into overdrive, fighting with each other to see who can offer the most hyperbolic denunciation of the vote and President Ahmadenijad's apparent victory (BBC wins by publishing bald-faced lies about the supposed popular uprising which it is later forced to retract). On June 13th, 30000 "tweets" begin to flood Twitter with live updates from Iran, most written in English and provided by a handful of newly-registered users with identical profile photos. The Jerusalem Post writes a story about the Iran Twitter phenomenon a few hours after it starts (and who says Mossad isn't staying up to date with new media?). Now, YouTube is providing a "Breaking News" link at the top of every page linking to the latest footage of the Iranian protests (all shot in high def, no less). Welcome to Destabilization 2.0, the latest version of a program that the western powers have been running for decades in order to overthrow foreign, democratically elected governments that don't yield to the whims of western governments and multinational corporations.
Ironically, Iran was also the birthplace of the original CIA program for destabilizing a foreign government. Think of it as Destabilization 1.0: It's 1953 and democratically-elected Iranian leader Mohammed Mossadegh is following through on his election promises to nationalize industry for the Iranian people, including the oil industry of Iran which was then controlled by the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company. The CIA is sent into the country to bring an end to Mossadegh's government. They begin a campaign of terror, staging bombings and attacks on Muslim targets in order to blame them on nationalist, secular Mossadegh. They foster and fund an anti-Mossadegh campaign amongst the radical Islamist elements in the country. Finally, they back the revolution that brings their favoured puppet, the Shah, into power. Within months, their mission had been accomplished: they had removed a democratically elected leader who threatened to build up an independent, secular Persian nation and replaced him with a repressive tyrant whose secret police would brutally suppress all opposition. The campaign was a success and the lead CIA agent wrote an after-action report describing the operation in glowing terms. The pattern was to be repeated time and time again in country after country (in Guatemala in 1954, in Afghanistan in the 1980s, in Serbia in the 1990s), but these operations leave the agency open to exposure. What was needed was a different plan, one where the western political and financial interests puppeteering the revolution would be more difficult to implicate in the overthrow.
Enter Destabilization 1.1. This version of the destabilization program is less messy, offering plausible deniability for the western powers who are overthrowing a foreign government. It starts when the IMF moves in to offer a bribe to a tinpot dictator in a third world country. He gets 10% in exchange for taking out an exorbitant loan for an infrastructure project that the country can't afford. When the country inevitably defaults on the loan payments, the IMF begins to take over, imposing a restructuring program that eventually results in the full scale looting of the country's resources for western business interests. This program, too, was run in country after country, from Jamaica to Myanmar, from Chile to Zimbabwe. The source code for this program was revealed in 2001, however, when former World Bank chief economist Joseph Stiglitz went public about the scam. More detail was added in 2004 by the publication of John Perkin's Confessions of an Economic Hitman, which revealed the extent to which front companies and complicit corporations aided, abetted and facilitated the economic plundering and overthrow of foreign governments. Although still an effective technique for overthrowing foreign nations, the fact that this particular scam had been exposed meant that the architects of global geopolitics would have to find a new way to get rid of foreign, democratically elected governments.
Destabilization 1.2 involves seemingly disinterested, democracy promoting NGOs with feelgood names like the Open Society Institute, Freedom House and the National Endowment for Democracy. They fund, train, support and mobilize opposition movements in countries that have been targeted for destabilization, often during elections and usually organized around an identifiable color. These "color revolutions" sprang up in the past decade and have so far successfully destabilized the governments of the Ukraine, Lebanon, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan, among others. These revolutions bear the imprint of billionaire finance oligarch George Soros. The hidden hand of western powers behind these color revolutions has threatened their effectiveness in recent years, however, with an anti-Soros movement having arisen in Georgia and with the recent Moldovan "grape revolution" having come to naught (much to the chagrin of Soros-funded OSI's Evgeny Morozov).
Now we arrive at Destabilization 2.0, really not much more than a slight tweak of Destabilization 1.2. The only thing different is that now Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other social media are being employed to amplify the effect of (and the impression of) internal protests. Once again, Soros henchman Evgeny Morozov is extolling the virtues of the new Tehran Twitter revolution and the New York Times is writing journalistic hymns to the power of internet new media...when it serves western imperial interests.
We are being asked to believe that this latest version of the very (very) old program of U.S. corporate imperialism is the real deal. While there is no doubt that the regime of Ahmadenijad is reprehensible and the feelings of many of the young protestors in Iran are genuine, you will forgive me for quesyioning the motives behind the monolithic media support for the overthrow of Iran's government and the installation of Mir-Houssein "Butcher of Beirut" Mousavi.

DPRK's Principled Stand on Nuclear Issue Favored by Russians

DPRK's Principled Stand on Nuclear Issue Favored by Russians
Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA)
Political figures of Russia expressed full support for the DPRK's principled stand on the nuclear issue.

Vladimir Zhirinovsky, deputy speaker of the State Duma and chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, said in an interview with Interfax on June 13 that deputies to the State Duma from the Liberal Democratic Party have expressed their dissatisfaction at Russia's refusal to exercise its veto on the UNSC's "resolution" against the DPRK.
Russia should not have supported the "resolution," he said, stressing that the DPRK has the right to take steps for defending its state and people from the moves to isolate it.

Nina Alexandrovna Andreyeva, general secretary of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, in a statement on June 16 expressed full support for the stand of the DPRK, which decisively rejected the UNSC's "resolution on sanctions" adopted under the coercion of the U.S.
The brazenfaced politicians of the U.S. should know that they can never bring down with the frantic "Fuehrer-style" politics the free people who are full of the determination and will to decisively stand up against the U.S. to defend the sovereignty and dignity of their state and nation, she stressed.

Iran Falls to US PSYOPS by Paul Craig ROBERTS

Iran Falls to US PSYOPS

By Paul Craig Roberts
June 22, 2009

President Obama called on the Iranian government to allow protesters to control the streets in Tehran. Would Obama or any US president allow protesters to control the streets in Washington, D.C.?

There was more objective evidence that George W. Bush stole his two elections than there is at this time of election theft in Iran. But there was no orchestrated media campaign to discredit the US government.

On May 16, 2007, the London Telegraph reported that Bush regime official John Bolton told the Telegraph that a US military attack on Iran would “be a ‘last option’ after economic sanctions and attempts to foment a popular revolution had failed.

”We are now witnessing in Tehran US “attempts to foment a popular revolution” in the guise of another CIA orchestrated “color revolution.” It is possible that splits among the mullahs themselves brought about by their rival ambitions will aid and abet what the Telegraph (May 27, 2007) reported were “CIA plans for a propaganda and disinformation campaign intended to destabilize, and eventually topple, the theocratic rule of the mullahs.” It is certainly a fact that the secularized youth of Tehran have played into the CIA’s hands.
The Mousavi protests have set up Iran either for a US puppet government or for a military strike. The mullahs are in a lose-lose situation. Even if the mullahs hold together and suppress the protests, the legitimacy of the Iranian government in the eyes of the outside world has been damaged. Obama’s diplomatic approach is over before it started. The neocons and Isra-l have won.
The US intervention and the orchestrated disinformation pumped out by the western media are so transparent that it is impossible to believe than any informed person or government is taken in. One cannot avoid the conclusion that the West wants the 1978 Iranian Revolution overthrown and intends to use deception or violence to achieve that goal.

It has become increasingly difficult to believe that facts and truth motivate the western news media. For the record, I would like to point out a few of the most obvious oversights, to use an euphemism, in the Iran reporting.

According to a wide variety of news sources (for example, London Telegraph, Yahoo News, The Globe and Mail, Asbarez.com, Politico), “Before the polling closed Mr. Mousavi declared himself ‘definitely the winner’ based on ‘all indications from all over Iran.’ He alleged widespread voting irregularities without giving specifics and hinted he was ready to challenge the final results.” Other news sources, which might not have been aware that the polls were kept open several hours beyond normal closing time in order to accommodate the turnout, reported that Mousavi made his victory claim the minute polls closed.

Mousavi’s premature claim of victory before polling was over or votes counted is clearly a preemptive move, the purpose of which is to discredit any other outcome. There is no other reason to make such a claim.

In Iran’s system, election fraud has no purpose, because a small select group of ruling mullahs select the candidates who are put on the ballot. If they don’t like an aspiring candidate, they simply don’t put him on the ballot.

When the liberal reformer Khatami ran for president, he won with 70% of the vote and served from 1997-2005. If the mullahs didn’t defraud Khatami of his win, it seemsunlikely they would defraud an establishment figure like Mousavi, who was foreign minister in the most conservative government, and is backed by another establishment figure, Rafsanjani.

As Mousavi was seen as Rafsanjani’s man, why is it “unbelievable” that Ahmadinejad defeated Mousavi by the same margin that he defeated Rafsanjani in the previous election?

Neoconservative Kenneth Timmerman let the cat out of the bag that there was an orchestrated “color revolution” in the works. Before the election, Timmerman wrote: “there’s talk of a ‘green revolution’ in Tehran.” Why would protests be organized prior to a vote and announcement of the outcome? Organized protests waiting in the wings are not spontaneous responses to a stolen election.

Timmerman’s organization, Foundation for Democracy, is funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) for the explicit purpose of promoting democracy in Iran. According to Timmerman, NED money was funneled to “pro-Mousavi groups who have ties to non-governmental organizations outside Iran that the National Endowment for Democracy funds.”

The US media has studiously ignored all of these highly suggestive facts. The media is not reporting or providing objective analysis. It is engaged in a propagandistic onslaught against the Iranian government.

We know that the US funds terrorist organizations inside Iran that are responsible for bombings and other violent acts. It is likely that these terrorist organizations are responsible for the burning buses and other acts of violence that have occurred during the demonstrations in Tehran.
A writer on pakalert.wordpress.com says that he was intrigued by the sudden appearance of tens of thousands of Twitter allegations that Ahmadinejad stole the Iranian election. He investigated, he says, and he reports that each of the new highly active accounts were created on Saturday, June 13th. “IranElection” is their most popular keyword. He narrowed the spammers to the most persistent: @StopAhmadi, @IranRiggedElect, and @Change_For_Iran. He researched further and found that On June 14 the Jerusalem Post already had an article on the new twitter. He concludes that the new Twitter sites are propaganda operations.
One wonders why the youth of the world, who do not protest stolen elections elsewhere, are so obsessed with Iran.
The unexamined question is Mousavi and his motives. Why would Mousavi unleash demonstrations that are obviously being used by a hostile West to discredit the government of the Iranian Revolution that overthrew the US puppet government? Are these the actions of a “moderate”? Or are these the actions of a disgruntled man who kept his disaffection from his colleagues in order to gain the opportunity to discredit the regime with street protests? Is Mousavi being manipulated by organizations funded with US government money?

John Bolton laid out the US strategy. First we try to destabilize the regime. Failing that, we strike them militarily. As this strategy unfolds, Iranians will pay in lost independence or in blood for the naiveness of its secularized youth and for the mistake the mullahs made in trusting Mousavi.
