Russian Embassy Officials Lay Wreaths before Liberation Tower


Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- Officials of the Russian embassy here laid a wreath before the
Liberation Tower on Wednesday on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of Russia's victory in the great Patriotic War.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Ambassador Alexandr Matsegora and officials of the Russian embassy and diplomatic envoys and military attaches of foreign embassies here.
A wreath was laid at the tower in the name of the Russian embassy.
The participants paid a silent tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army and looked round the tower.
The embassy officials also laid a wreath and bouquets at the cemetery of fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army in Sadong District of Pyongyang.
The members of the Russian consulate general in Chongjin City laid bouquets at the liberation tower and the cemetery of fallen soldiers of the Soviet Army in the city.
Earlier, the members of the Russian embassy placed bouquets before the liberation towers, statues of Soviet Army soldiers, cemeteries of fallen Soviet Army soldiers and memorial towers in local areas, and the Russian consulate general in Chongjin hosted a reception. -0-
