Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visits fish restaurant
Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, visited a new restaurant built on the banks of the Taedong River, together with his wife Ri Sol Ju.
He was accompanied by Ri Su Yong, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, and Han Kwang Sang, Ri Pyong Chol, Kim Yo Jong, Kim Yong Su and Jo Yong Won, senior officials of the WPK Central Committee.
Noting that he had appreciated the design and construction of the restaurant as he examined the data submitted by the relevant sector, he said the restaurant looks really wonderful and unique and named it Pyongyang Taedonggang Fish Restaurant.
Looking round the restaurant with its interior and exterior built in a unique, exquisite and graceful manner, he expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the soldier builders did another good job for the people, and said that an iconic catering facility like the Okryu Restaurant has come into being in Pyongyang.
Our people will be happy to relish delicious and nutritious dishes and processed products made of fresh fish all the year round, he said as he saw sturgeon, salmon, rainbow trout and other high-end fishes swimming in the indoor ponds and processed food stands arranged to suit the characters of the restaurant.
While making the rounds of the dining hall and other service rooms for families and folk dishes, he said that the restaurant should ensure the local people dine with their families and savour foreign dishes as well and that it should also provide service to foreign visitors.
He stressed the need to pay special attention to raising the quality of the fish dishes and to conduct service activities meticulously in such a way as to make the customers feel no inconvenience.
He gave instructions on inaugurating the restaurant, saying the people would be delighted to hear that another catering facility has appeared in such a good place as the riverside.
